Near-twin supply catalogs carry an operational risk: pick the wrong label size or core and a packing line stops. The pattern is to model variants on the physical specification and give volume buyers their own route through one store. Svel Goods sells shippers boxes, poly mailers, laser label sheets and thermal label rolls, often in bulk. Gencer structured variants around size, core, sheet versus roll, and thermal versus laser, so choosing one reads like a spec sheet: a thermal 4x6 roll with a 1-inch core against a laser half-sheet at 8.5x5.5. Wholesale, boxes, poly bags and labels are separate collections, and testimonials and trust sections appear where buyers hesitate.
The problem
SKUs that were almost identical invited mix-ups, and one catalog had to serve both wholesale and retail buyers.
The storefront pattern
- Variant selectors where core and label size come first
- A bulk-buying path and wholesale collection within the same storefront
- Own merchandising space for pre-printed labels and for blockout labels
- Testimonial, trust and free-shipping sections reused across product and collection pages
