Viola Stone Studio: from reference to commission
Buyers of hand-carved stone often want their own version, so each listing should lead toward a custom request.

Workshops that make each piece by hand face a particular storefront problem: the photo shows one block of stone, and many visitors want something made to order rather than that exact item. Viola Stone Studio, which carves fireplace mantels, console tables, bathtubs, tables and sinks by hand for interior designers, homeowners and architects, is the reference case. Gencer customized the theme to give the five categories banner-led landings with their own introductions, add notes on care, dimensions and material to product templates, and link each listing to a commission request. Alongside the catalog, a design blog offers inspiration.
The problem
Stone with individual veining, made to order, doesn’t suit a quick-checkout layout, and designers needed a path from a piece they liked to a custom brief.
The storefront pattern
- Landing pages led by banners for mantels, console tables, bathtubs, tables and sinks
- Stone photography running edge to edge, with wide spacing on both mobile and desktop
- Product templates holding care, dimension and material fields, with a link through to a bespoke enquiry
- A blog area plus review and heritage blocks built into the theme
