Settings reference · Transom theme guide

Every setting Transom stores, with the exact id, type, default and allowed values. Use it when you edit the theme's JSON files with the Shopify CLI, or hand it to an AI assistant that does. To change settings by hand, use the theme editor instead; it shows the same settings with their labels. See Set up with AI and the CLI for how the files fit together.

This page is generated from the theme's code, so it always matches the version in the release notes.

How the files use these ids

Theme settings live in config/settings_data.json under current, for example "current": {"cart_type": "drawer"}.
Sections live in a template such as templates/index.json or templates/product.json, or a section group such as sections/header-group.json. Each entry has a type (the section id below), settings, and optional blocks and block_order.
Blocks sit inside a section's blocks, each with a type (the block id below) and its own settings. Blocks listed under "Theme blocks" can be used in any section that accepts theme blocks.
Translated labels are not stored. Only the id and value are.
