This is the problem of a single-origin food brand whose catalog has widened: the first product still defines the brand, but the range around it starts to resemble a grocery aisle. The pattern is to organize the store by ingredient type and let proof of quality travel with each product. At Garisar, which started with an extra virgin Arbequina olive oil high in polyphenols, Gencer gave honeys, preserves, tahini, halva, nut pastes and the sugar-free line separate sections, kept the flagship oil in the homepage hero, and templated polyphenol, pressing and sourcing details onto product pages. Recipes, FAQs and editorial content point shoppers back to specific items.
The problem
A wide range of specialty foods had to read as curated, not stocked, with provenance shown on the page where each item is bought.
The storefront pattern
- Sections per ingredient type, covering sugar-free, wild fruit, tahini and halva, nut pastes, marmalade, jam, honey and olive oil
- A homepage hero for the flagship oil and a featured-products module that can be reused
- Product page blocks showing single-estate sourcing, cold pressing and polyphenol content
- Editorial, FAQ and recipe areas that link to the products they mention
